Frequently Asked Questions

How does membership work?

Visit our membership page to find out more!

Is Psychiatry Covered By Insurance?

Yes, but our services will be considered “out of network.”  We do not contract directly with insurance companies. A superbill can be provided to submit to insurance for out-of-network reimbursement. Many clients choose to pay using FSA/HSA dollars.

What is a Superbill?

A superbill is a receipt of the services provided that will include the date, type of service(s), diagnosis code, cost, and payment received. You can submit a superbill to your insurance provider as an out-of-network claim, which may allow clients to be reimbursed for the services provided.

Do you take Medicaid/Medicare?

No, at this time we do not accept Medicaid or Medicare

Are you taking new clients?

Yes. We currently have room for new clients. Fill out a new client intake for here.

How soon can I get an appointment?

It varies, can be between few days to couple of weeks

Do you work on weekends / what are your hours?

No weekends

Do I have to have a therapist before I see you?

No, you do not need to have seen a therapist before we work together.

How long will the visit take?

  • Initial evaluation is between 60-90 minutes
  • Follow-up visit is between 25-30 minutes. These typically start off as monthly appointments to every three months.

Do you provide telehealth appointments?

Yes, we provide confidential telehealth appointments.

Does BTG see children and/or adolescents?

We will see children as young as 18 and up which is determined on a case by case basis. A private practice setting is not always the appropriate level of care for every client deepening on need and severity of symptoms; BTGP will try and provide referrals or recommendations to clients who need higher levels of care or alternative treatment options.
